Principal and Prosper - Continuity of Service - Coronavirus Contingency Planning - update

We are now all in a position where the COVID-19 virus is having an impact on our daily lives, whether personal or business. We are taking the opportunity of providing an update on our operational processes and resilience during this difficult period.

As a business our key priorities centre on continuing to provide a high level of client service and providing a safe environment for our staff.

We would like to reassure you we have robust plans in place to ensure we remain fully operational. It is possible there may be some elements of our service which might be slightly different during this period and we would ask for your understanding at this time.

Business Continuity

We have widespread capacity for our Financial Planners, Investment Managers and all Admin Support staff to work from home and will put this in place as individual circumstances require.

We have 4 offices across the Central Belt of Scotland, meaning if an office were required to close we will remain fully operational either through relocation to another office or home working.
 
In the event an office is temporarily closed, we have plans in place to manage our postal deliveries. However, it would greatly assist during this period if you could communicate with your Financial Adviser directly by email or telephone.
 
Please continue to contact your Financial Adviser in the normal manner. Whilst telephones may be re-directed to another site in the event of an office closure, your call will be connected as quickly as possible. In the event your Adviser is unwell you will be put through to another member of the Advisory team.
 
We will continue to offer face-to-face client meetings with you clients if required. You will be contacted beforehand to ensure you are still comfortable for scheduled meetings to take place and these can be re-arranged to take place via telephone if you would prefer. However, we would ask you let us know if you have visited any high-risk jurisdictions or had any high risk contact ahead of the meeting.

Travel

We would also like to reassure you the safety of our staff and clients is paramount.  Any staff member who has personally been to a high-risk country or who has been in contact with a person who has is required to self-isolate in accordance with the latest Government guidance.

This situation is clearly developing and we will write to update you if there are any material changes to the way in which we have to operate, but we hope this will provide you with reassurance at this stage.
